Creating Fine Jewelry With Intention
At Sable House Heirlooms, every piece begins with intention.
Whether we’re designing something entirely new or re-imagining an existing piece, our process is thoughtful, considered, and led by design — not trends or specifications alone.
We work collaboratively, but we guide the process from start to finish, ensuring each piece feels cohesive, personal, and enduring.
Step One: Understanding the Vision
Every custom piece starts with a conversation.
We take time to understand:
- The story behind the piece
- How it will be worn and lived in
- Your design preferences, lifestyle, and proportions
- This foundation allows us to create something that feels right — not just visually, but intuitively
Step Two: Design Direction
From there, we establish a clear design direction.
This may include:
- Overall silhouette and proportions
- Metal tone and finish
- Setting style and construction details
Rather than presenting endless options, we focus on clarity — shaping a design that aligns with your vision while benefiting from our design expertise.
Step Three: Design Visualization (CAD)
Once the design direction and ring size are confirmed, we create a detailed CAD rendering of your piece.
- The CAD shows your design from multiple angles
- Turnaround is typically 3–4 business days
- You’ll have the opportunity to review and refine the design until it feels just right
This step ensures alignment and confidence before moving into production.
Step Four: Stone Integration
With the design approved, stones are thoughtfully integrated into the piece.
We work with both natural and lab-grown diamonds, selecting stones based on balance, light performance, and how they complement the overall design — not simply on paper specifications.
The goal is harmony: stone, setting, and scale working together seamlessly.
Step Five: Craftsmanship & Production
After CAD approval, production begins.
- Each piece is handcrafted to order in the United States
- Skilled artisans bring the design to life using quality materials and time-honored techniques
- Construction, comfort, and longevity are prioritized throughout
A 50% deposit is required at this stage and is applied toward the total cost of your piece.
Step Six: Final Review & Completion
Once your piece is complete, you’ll receive detailed photos and video for review.
If you prefer, we’re happy to review everything together virtually.
The remaining balance is due prior to shipment.
The result is a piece designed to be worn often, remembered deeply, and passed on — an heirloom in the making.
